From Logan Airport, Boston (150 miles)

Follow the airport exit to route 1A North

Follow 1A north for about 5 miles until the (2nd?)  roundabout and get on to route 1 North

Follow route 1 north for about 9 miles until you get to Interstate 95 north

(Route 1 is a very busy strip mall area with best lunch stops en route)

Merge onto I-95 N toward N.H./MAINE

Continue to follow I-95 as it becomes the NH Turnpike (a toll road, only 14 miles long with one toll booth)

As I-95 passes through Portsmouth, NH follow the I-95 Maine signs, Pass over the Piscataqua Bridge and welcome to Maine.

Continue along I-95 as it becomes the Maine Turnpike. (toll).

Continue along the Maine Turnpike. Our exit is about 45 minutes from Portsmouth, NH at "Mile 48"

FROM ANYWHERE ELSE, GET TO THE MAINE TURNPIKE, I-95, AND FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS

(The Maine Turnpike is in the process of renumbering the exits based on miles from the NH border)

Take new exit 48 (old exit 8) off the Maine Turnpike. This exit is only a couple of miles north of Portland.

Turn right at the traffic light just after the tollbooth onto Riverside St.  Go straight along Riverside St. following the signs to route 302 (about 1.5 miles)

Turn left onto 302 and head north for about 33 miles.  You'll pass through following towns (Windham, Raymond, Casco, Naples, Bridgeton)

At the Bridgton traffic light continue straight ahead following route 117 North. (302 turns left at the light at the Bridgeton light. Don't follow 302!)

Drive for 3 miles to North Bridgeton and Route 37

Turn LEFTonto ME-37 and drive for 5 miles. (you'll pass the Bridgeton Academy and the N. Bridgton P.O., Bear Pond and the Bear Mountain Inn).  About 1/2 mile beyond the Bear Mountain Inn you will just pass Phil's old gas station with its phony water wheel and

Turn right at the Congregational church onto Mill Hill Rd.

and head up the hill along MILL HILL ROAD. Drive for about 2 miles, passing over the crests of 2 hills.

Turn LEFT onto PASSACONAWAY ROAD. Drive for 0.4 miles and take your second right onto Whiting Avenue (a dirt road)

Our house is #39, is the 3rd house on the right, a white cape set back into the woods on a slightly winding driveway.  there is a sign at the end of the driveway with a kitty and "Morse" and "39 Whiting"
