A summer of hot weather
which explains why so many of the pictures were taken in or on the pond
It was a summer of change
The front garden grew in along with a good population of reptiles!
and Earl lost something
which quickly regrew, much like the garden
But the change we liked best was the warm, dry summer
NO MOSQUITOES!
It was difficult getting Joanne and Nick out of the water
or away from the beach
Of course the occasional pilgrimages to the coast did break the routine
But the weather was always cooler at the pond so we kept running back for sanctuary
(the photo below is one of my pilgrimages, how can you tell?)
Joanne's devotional trips to Freeport seldom allowed enough time to
take pictures
A quick return to cooler refuge
What's not to like!
Nick was only able to spend a short while with us
but seemed to enjoy the water
cover your face, the mad towel snapper's back!
during his visit he demonstrated his latest hobby
The martial art of couch potatoes, CHAIR FO!
It's hard to pick a Chair Fu expect out of the crowd
But ya better watch out, cause they're keeping an eye out!
Their punishment is sure and swift...that is once they get into the water
they'll getcha!
Yup,
They squash you like a bug
