FALL NEWS 2011

Lots of excitement this summer and fall!

A few visitors came to Maine and, Bruce and Cheryl took residence in the Loft for the summer. A visit from Lynn, Chris and Michelle was a real pleasure.

We had a one week trip to NYC, our first visit in many years. It was a great time, and the city was more fun than ever. Thank you Judy and David and Marty and Sheila for hosting us.

We had no real agenda and strolled around, mainly to our old haunts. The city is cleaner and busier than ever with interesting places to explore around every corner.

The highlight of late summer was our trip to Washington for the Peace Corps 50th Anniversary celebration and the 47 year reunion of our Tanzania 7 group, that magnificent gang of kids who went to East Africa to teach in 64-66. See if you can spot Joanne?

Of course, back then we were all young and good looking. Things are a little different now. Of course, memories can be a little foggy. For more pictures of Peace Corps past and present click on the above picture. (and more detail in the hunt for Joanne)

During the summer we acquired a new kitty named Penny. If you click the kitty picture to the above left you'll see her.
